DESCRIPTION

The Spectroom logo reduces emotion to its simplest visual language. Built directly from the name, the double “o o” forms an abstract face — quiet, minimal, and intentionally unresolved. Depending on context, scale, and colour, the expression shifts between calm, sadness, and neutrality, reflecting the instability and subjectivity of emotional states.

A subtle break in the letterforms introduces a pause — a moment of interruption that functions as space rather than absence. When repeated, the face dissolves into a pattern of overlapping expressions, creating a visual field where emotions coexist, blur, and repeat. The identity avoids literal symbolism, positioning therapy not as correction, but as a space where meaning is allowed to emerge.

LOGO PHILOSOPHY

1. The Spectroom brand logo uses typography as a meaningful tool, not just as a carrier of the name. The letters "o o" naturally form an abstract face—a simple, universal symbol of a human being. This face is not clearly defined; depending on the angle of view, scale, or context, it can appear calm, sad, relaxed, or neutral. It is this ambiguity that reflects Spectroom's philosophy: emotions do not have a single correct interpretation, and their meaning changes over time and perception.

2. At the same time, the letters "o o" are deliberately interrupted—they are not closed, but open. This creates a gap, a disruption of form that symbolizes space for change, movement, and understanding. This open space functions as a metaphor for the therapeutic process: it is not about closure or correction, but about creating space in which something new can emerge.

3. When the logo is repeated in a pattern, the individual "faces" begin to overlap and react to each other. A visual field is created where emotions do not exist in isolation, but coexist in various combinations and intensities. The pattern thus visualizes the emotional spectrum—not as a series of separate states, but as a fluid, living system. The Spectroom logo thus becomes not only an identifying element, but also a visual metaphor for a space in which emotions can be perceived, explored, and gradually understood.
